Loi Krathong, the
elegantly beautiful annual Festival of Light, is held on the full moon in
November. In Tak, this event is celebrated in a rather unique manner whereby
local people thread together their krathongs which coconut shell is used to
make the krathongs with wick or fuel, then it is released or launched
simultaneously and appear as lighted necklace on Ping River.

presentation re-enacting the bridge’s World War II history.

Northeastern cultural shows as well as exhibitions of the silk industry add
to the merry atmosphere of this fair. |
